NTI Sustainability Summit - 8th Feb 2024

Sustainable Solutions: It’s All About Data!

The world is changing rapidly. And demands for delivering more sustainable solutions are higher than ever. It is no longer merely a decision to “go green”. Sustainability is increasingly becoming a business imperative that drives business value in the long-term.

In order to drive sustainable solutions, you need to have strong data: How you manage, share and qualify data is the key to any sustainability effort. Are you working within the construction, design and manufacturing industries, you should join us at NTI Sustainability Summit, 8 February 2024.

Jonathan Brookfield, Autodesk Technical Consultant at Diatec, will give a presentation on  "Supporting the Design and Achieving Requirements for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems".

We wish to inspire you with projects from peers: how they have managed to address topics such as reduction of energy and carbon, utilizing resources in a more efficient way, and how to prepare for a more climate resilient world.

Meet Our Keynote Speakers

Enabling Impact through Design and Make Technology

Regulatory pressures are rising, digital dependency is real, and we need to deliver on sustainability commitments. Professionals can harness technology to drive efficient, resilient, and more sustainable outcomes across the AEC and D&M industries.

BIM, BOM, BAMB: How Better Data Will Turbocharge a Solutions Ecosystem for Impact

Create predictive simulations for optimal performance, analyze options for improved resilience, and iterate designs to enable better energy and material choices to reduce carbon emissions and waste. Creating real impact is based on connected, data-driven solutions.

Breakout Session: Part 1 - 11.30-12.15 (GMT+1)

How to Build and Rebuild Sustainable Sites in Novo Nordisk

Description coming soon.

How 3D Laser Scanning can Support a Sustainable Agenda

Modern 3D scanners exhibit remarkable efficiency, offering significant precision and accuracy. They provide detailed digital 3D models and point clouds of various elements from buildings to machinery. This solution not only minimizes errors and redundancies in measurement tasks for quality control, data, and documentation but also aligns with sustainability goals by reducing the need for transportation to and from sites. Explore diverse industry applications, including construction projects.

BIM for Landscape - Modelling the Final Frontier

BIM for the built environment has been in use for a while. Now, it is time to tackle landscape, which involves complex geometries and data sets. At Henning Larsen they have implemented BIM for Landscape using Revit as their primary documentation tool. Designing sustainable landscapes is just as important as designing sustainable buildings. In this session David will demonstrate how Revit which is designed for buildings can also be used for sustainable landscape design with the Environment for Revit tools.

Breakout Session: Part 2 - 13:15-14:00 (GMT+1)

Uncovering Design & Manufacturing Insights: The Importance of Manufacturing & Material Selection

Discover the strength of Autodesk's design and manufacturing solutions. Explore our current tools, such as Fusion 360 Makersite integration and the new 'Manufacturing Sustainability Insights' add-in, as we showcase their practical applications. Wondering what the future holds? Get a glimpse of what Autodesk’s Digital Materials Engineer could look like, powering material choices within the design phase with the aid of AI.

More Sustainable Products with Less Waste and Transport with Autodesk PLM

Johan Bornerud, COO at Intrx, shares insights into how Autodesk PLM has revolutionized their operations. Explore how early resource allocation has minimized product waste and reduced the need for heavy transportation. An inspiring lecture on intelligent business operations and increased sustainability.

Supporting the Design and Achieving Requirements for Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems

The drive towards Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDs) as a preferable alternative to traditional drainage types is becoming ever more popular with asset owners, both in the private and public sectors. Globally, extreme weather events that cause increased flood risk are becoming the norm and at an escalating frequency, so we must ensure we are designing for both the current situation and achieve climate resilience by ensuring our system is suitable for the future. In this session, we're going to look at why we need to transition to SuDs and the technological solutions that help support the design process.

Breakout Session: Part 3 - 14:15-15:00

Future of Sustainability for the Manufacturing industry with Polestar Automotive

The Automotive industry is an early adopter and is together with Aerospace the pack leader when it comes to technology, processes and manufacturing due to product complexity and regulations. This is also true when it comes to sustainability. Polestar is at the front leading the charge for sustainable transportation, and they claim that Polestar 5 (launching 2024) will be a statement in Sustainability. In this session Martin Rosenqvist (Vehicle Business Program Lead) - responsible for bringing Polestar 5 to market, reveals what it takes to achieve their high sustainability goals.
