OBJECTIVE OF COURSE
This hands-on, foundation-level course covers the essentials of site design in AutoCAD Civil 3D and the connection of the
designed surface to Revit.
The primary objective of the course is to familiarize students with the concepts and application of site design in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and the workflow for connecting this to Autodesk Revit. Note that the course does not cover drainage layout. After Completing this course, students should be able to:
Navigate the Civil 3D user interface
Create and edit alignments and profiles
Create, edit, analyze and view surfaces
Calculate earthwork & corridor volumes
Create assemblies and corridors
Link Civil 3D surfaces to Revit
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Architects, Architectural Technicians, Civil Engineers or technicians working with Revit and AutoCAD and having access to
AutoCAD Civil 3D who are involved with site development design for building projects.
Students should have a working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD and have a good understanding of the principles of basic road and site design.
