OBJECTIVE OF COURSE
The primary objective of the course is to familiarize students with the concepts and application of the essential functions of Autodesk Civil 3D as they apply to Land Surveying. After completing this course, students should be able to Create points, change point styles, and manage points in groups, Set up description files Create and manage survey database, Import survey data Create linework code set to automatically process linework, Insert blocks based on field coding Sharing Data in Civil 3D, Create, edit & analyse surfaces Export point and design data, Create setting out data
This hands-on, foundation-level course covers the essentials of AutoCAD® Civil 3D® software as it applies to Land Surveyors, including how to import and export data, set up and manage survey database, create point and figure styles, set up and manage linework code set, create a survey drawing template and surface creation and analysis.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Land Surveyors, Civil Engineers, technicians or draughting personnel working with, or with access to, Civil 3D for creating, and using data from topographical survey drawings.
Students should have a working knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 or later. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
