Autodesk Senior Technical Consultant 

Position: Autodesk Senior Technical Consultant:

This senior position is focused on leading & presenting technical aspects of the Autodesk Construction Cloud & core products within the Autodesk AEC portfolio.

As a senior technical specialist, you will have in-depth Construction industry knowledge; have Revit & Navisworks skills & ideally have a familiarity with Autodesk BIM 360/Construction Cloud platform or competitive solutions such as Procore, Aconex, Viewpoint, or similar.

You will be actively involved in the Construction industry’s community by promoting Integrated Construction - how to connect data & workflows & bring real transformation to the Irish AEC sector by assisting customers on their digitalisation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Plan Development: In partnership with the Diatec Group Account Management team, you will develop a technical account plan that supports the execution of the agreed-upon strategies/tactics for the AEC Sector.
  • Technical Discovery & Solution Fit: You will perform in-depth assessments of customer processes to investigate, uncover & understand the customer’s needs. Utilise knowledge of the industry, business trends, and technology, to identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops of varying sizes to help uncover business issues/drivers/initiatives & use this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome value, leveraging Autodesk software applications & services together with other resources to develop innovative solutions for our customers.
  • Be a key component of the Diatec team. Capture metrics for quantifying & justifying the customer’s return on investment (ROI) to assist business closure - Develop, deliver, & demonstrate proposed solutions & product overviews & relate them to the customer’s business issues.
  • Position solutions for customer adoption & success - Understand & position the Diatec Group's unique business value in competitive sales situations.
  • Customer Relationship Management: In partnership with the Diatec Group Account Management team, develop a required level of knowledge of customers' business processes, workflows, & technical requirements to build "trusted advisor" relationships with our clients & play a key role in Diatec Group’s contribution to our customer's success.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain a solid One-Team partnership with our key vendors & work closely with them & the Diatec Group Account Management team to develop & close opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Support: Develop & maintain trusted working relationships with the Diatec Group Account Management team & adjacent business resources (sales management, marketing, customer success &

support). Oversee & guide these resources within outlined account objectives to ensure customer satisfaction & business closure.

  • Internal Leadership: Share best practices, competitive information, innovation, & thought leadership within the Diatec Group, interacting & communicating with our extended sales, technical & customer success teams to ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Influence business direction and IP development through customer feedback & identified business opportunities.

 

  • Social Selling: Participate in the Construction industry’s community through discussion groups & online/social mediums.
  • Maintain & promote the value of your industry expertise to our customers by getting involved in webinars, industry newsletters, blog & social media channels, Autodesk Knowledge Network (AKN) articles, customer success stories, & Account Based Marketing (ABM) plans. Participates in company-sponsored events & tradeshows to promote the Diatec Group, Autodesk Construction Cloud & AEC solutions within our target markets.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Construction technical role (BIM Manager/BIM Coordinator) or as a Technical Consultant in the Autodesk partner network or at a Competitive channel/manufacturer.
  • Proven successful implementations of BIM platform technologies.
  • Understands the AEC industry & keeps themselves informed of future trends.
  • Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration, coordination, & fabrication.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, workflows, data formats & interoperability techniques.
  • Understands BIM for Design, Engineering & Construction & how to articulate & convey corresponding benefits.
  • Working knowledge & proficiency with the following Autodesk Solutions - Revit & Navisworks,

Ideally Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 platform or Competitive solutions experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree/Certification in an AEC discipline.
  • Excellent oral communication & writing skills.
  • Comfortable presenting in front of audiences (virtual or physical).
  • Must be able to demonstrate credibility & respect at a senior level & be able to connect technically at the user level.
  • Strong analytical skills in terms of solving complex problems within the supported industry(s).
  • Strong teamwork/relationship management skills.
  • Requirements gathering and discovery proficiency.
  • Works both independently & in a team environment & can manage multiple priorities.

 

Package: Negotiable package based on experience.

Based: Working virtually from home with occasional face-to-face meetings & attendance at industry events (subject to the easing of restrictions).

IT Support & Service Technician:

IT Support & Technician responsibilities include resolving issues with end-user devices laptops/desktops, imaging & configuring operating systems & providing support to our customers.

 

Requirements:

An ICT qualification (certificate, diploma, degree).

At least 2 years’ experience as a computer technician or in a similar role.

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Ability to problem solve & promote best practices in IT.

Experience with SLA's & ticketing systems.

The ability to work within a team.

A positive "can do" attitude towards work, & our clients.

IP Networking (Firewalls/Routers, Wireless Networks, Managed Switches).

Microsoft 365 Setup & Administration.

Remote Desktop Technologies (TeamViewer, RDP etc.).

Microsoft Client Operating System Installation & Maintenance.

Excellent organisational skills & experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, in a time sensitive environment.

Ultimately, you will be a person our customer’s trust. They will rely on you to provide timely & accurate solutions to their technical problems.

Provide remote/on-site support for user related issues.

Server & networking remote/on-site support - Carry out designated tasks, resolve problems & queries from clients.

Inventory & asset management of IT equipment as well as IT lifecycle.

Must be thoroughly comfortable with Windows operating systems & their operation.

Robust troubleshooting & strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability required.

Possess a high level of discipline while displaying a high degree of flexibility & professionalism.

Excellent technical aptitude, written & oral communications skills & experience & the ability to deal effectively with people at different levels and in different situations.

Enthusiastic about learning new technologies.

Microsoft Server Technologies - (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WDS) desirable.

Experience with LAN/WAN networks desirable.

Working hours: Full-time - 9:00AM - 5:15PM, Monday - Friday

Salary: €30,000.00 - €37,000.00 per year.

IT Support Engineer - Microsoft & VMware environment:

This exciting role offers the perfect balance of support & project work.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills & excellent customer communication skills & would have 2+ year’s relevant IT support experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

PC Builds, Diagnose and troubleshoots.

VMware vSphere deployment & support.

Microsoft cloud services (Microsoft 365 & Azure cloud services) - deployment, migration & support.

Microsoft applications (SQL & SharePoint,) deployment & support.

Network & firewall setup & support (primarily SonicWall).

Backup & disaster recovery solutions setup & support (primarily Veeam).

AV, secure email & anti-malware deployment & support

End user device support and troubleshooting as required.

As an IT Engineer, you will be a crucial member of our skilled technical team deploying & supporting the latest technologies.

Experience:

The ideal candidate would have 2+ year’s relevant IT support experience working in a similar role.

Strong technically with a proven track record in IT support.

Excellent communication skills - (Verbal and Written).

You are motivated to work on your own, the ability to plan & quickly close out project tasks.
