Desktop Connector and BIM 360 Links

When an individual user has problems opening a Revit File on BIM 360 due to corruption errors or general crash reporting, then we must look locally to the users PC.

A good start is to clear the Collaboration Cache

However we have seen where the problem continues and on further investigation has been down to links in the revit model. These links could be revit or dwg files.

The question then remains why is it happening for one user only?

Lets take a look at the Desktop Connector. Assume file in image below is being used as a linked file in another project.

Make sure ‘Status’ is displayed in the column headings. Notice how its listed as Synced and when right clicked has an option of ‘Free Up Space’
